The Vajra Heart teachings emerged from over twelve years of Adi’s personal development, study, and practice. Adi’s experience in Yoga, Buddhism, A Course in Miracles, the Enneagram and Spiritual Psychology have taken shape as a unique program and body of teachings. These teachings seek to bring together the best of the ancient spiritual traditions of both East and West, along with the deepest insight into human psychology and human nature. The term ‘Vajra’ is Sanskrit and refers to the indestructible wisdom, the diamond like essence of wisdom and true knowledge. ‘Heart’ refers to the essential dimension of human experience, that which pertains to our core, our innermost Being.
There are three essential parts to the Vajra Heart teachings, which we call Altars. They are the Altar of Understanding, the Altar of Unity, and the Altar of Presence. These three facets of the Vajra Heart programs are interwoven to support the realization and unfolding of the soul on the three levels of head, heart, and body. The Vajra Heart teachings will be available in small group settings in Hood River, online* (coming in 2017), and also through Adi’s retreats, intensives, and in private meetings with him in person or by phone.
The vision for these programs is to offer them in individual installments, where students can participate in the courses or offerings that they are moved by. Those wishing to take up full Vajra Heart training will be required to complete all 21 courses, a long term private work regimen, as well as additional ‘teacher training’ in order to facilitate the Vajra Heart programs genuinely.
At this point there are 21 essential courses that make up the full Vajra Heart programs, 7 courses for each of the Altars. Through following these courses systematically, one is gradually able to develop more and more insight and maturity, the result of which is an unfolding realization of oneself, one’s purpose in life, and a freedom to live, breathe, and serve the Heart.
Adi Vajra grew up in Northeastern Ohio as Paul Marino. In 2003, Adi experienced a profound spiritual awakening that inspired a journey to discover the true nature of reality, and himself. After working with a Navajo Medicine Man in depth, he traveled to India and was trained in traditional Kriya Yoga and Vedanta, the ancient wisdom of Yoga and Indian spirituality. Later initiated intoTibetan Buddhism, and other traditions including Sufism, Adi began teaching and sharing a multifaceted spirituality that drew from the wisdom and practices of several major religions. After 12 years of deep practice and study, and with much experience, Adi has developed the Vajra Heart teachings. These teachings are a synthesis and conglomeration of his experience with various teachers, practices, and philosophies, to offer a unique path for spiritual unfolding, full human maturity, and true inner knowing.
